Allergic to grass and noise.
A: Don’t you just hate when those mow-lawn things come out?
M: The lawnmowers?
A: Yes.
M: Yeah.

There aren’t many things in this world that make me think there’s anything beyond it but you are one of them.
There’s no other way I can explain how I could possibly have such a phenomenally sweet, thoughtful, joyful, brilliant light in my life.
You are special beyond measure and I hope today and always that your heart continues to shine with the unique magic that touches everyone who meets you.
With every year that passes, I see your potential for greatness of mind, body and soul grow exponentially. And I am so very proud to be your mom.
At the bus stop:
A: I want to go play in the snow with Gracie!
M: Ok, but ASK her if she wants to play first, her daddy said she’s not a morning person.
*A runs over to Gracie, returns immediately*
A: Gracie said she’s grumpy and she doesn’t wanna play.
M: Well, Gracie’s like Mommy…You know how I’m grumpy in the morning a lot? Well some people are happier in the morning and they’re “morning people,” and some people are happier at night and they’re “night people.”
A: I’m a morning person AND a night person!
M: Yes you are, kiddo.
The picture Arissa drew for her teacher’s Christmas card: “Mrs. Cooley and Arissa [as snowmen] in space.”
A: Ooo! A cement truck! I love cement trucks.
M: How come?
A: They’re so nice! They make roads…and sidewalks…and basements…and schools…
